Elegant vintage German porcelain plate bearing the Thomas “Sevres” Bavaria backstamp. The plate features a creamy ivory-white ground framed by a striking black band and delicate gold gilt accents along the rim. Its clean, understated design gives it a sophisticated look that works beautifully with traditional, vintage, and formal tableware.
The reverse is marked Thomas, “Sevres,” and Bavaria, along with the numbers 391 and 40. Thomas porcelain was produced in Bavaria, Germany, and the Thomas name was used following the company’s association with Rosenthal beginning in 1908. The “Sevres” wording on this mark does not indicate manufacture at the famous French Sèvres factory. The mark is consistent with early-20th-century Thomas production, approximately 1908–1939.
